Everything you need to know about using the Reside resident portal โ€” logging meetings, tracking chores, and staying on top of your progress.

Resident Home screen

When you log into Reside, you'll land on your Home screen โ€” your main dashboard for the week.

๐Ÿ‘‹ Greeting

Your name and the current week are shown at the top so you always know where you stand.

๐Ÿ“ข Announcements

Important messages from house management appear at the top of your screen โ€” check these first so you don't miss anything.

  • Meetings โ€” how many you've completed vs. how many are required
  • Chores โ€” how many you've completed vs. how many are required

Your progress updates automatically as you log activity throughout the week.

The two main buttons you'll use every week:

  • Log Meeting โ€” tap to record a meeting you attended
  • Log Chore โ€” tap to mark a chore as completed

  1. Tap Log Chore
  2. Select the chore you completed
  3. Tap Mark Complete

That's it.

Optional: You can choose a different date/time if you're logging something from earlier.

  • You can only log chores that are assigned to you
  • Once logged, your progress updates automatically

  1. Tap Log Meeting
  2. Enter: Date, Time, Meeting Type (AA, NA, or Other)
  3. (Optional) Add notes
  4. Tap Log Meeting

Notes can include: meeting name, location, group name, or any other details.

๐Ÿ“… Viewing Your Weekly Activity

Tap on the Meetings or Chores progress cards to see everything you've logged this week.

  • Meetings โ€” each meeting logged, with date and type
  • Chores โ€” completed chores with timestamps

Note: Only house management can edit or remove records.

๐Ÿ’ฌ Contact House Management

Scroll to Contact House Management at the bottom of your Home screen to reach your house managers directly.

You can use this for:

  • Supplies that need to be replenished
  • Questions about your chore assignments
  • Maintenance issues that need attention
  • Anything else you want management to know

If your house uses sign-out tracking, you'll see Sign Out and Sign In buttons on your Home screen. This feature may not be enabled at every house โ€” if you don't see these buttons, your house doesn't require it.

โ„น๏ธ This Feature May Not Be Visible

Sign out tracking is optional and configured by house management. If you don't see the Sign Out button on your Home screen, your house doesn't use it.

๐Ÿšช Signing Out

When you leave the house, tap Sign Out on your Home screen. A modal will appear asking for:

  • Destination โ€” where you're going (required)
  • Notes โ€” any additional info (optional)

Tap Sign Out to confirm. Your status will update to OUT on the house roster.

๐Ÿ  Signing Back In

When you return, tap Sign In on your Home screen to mark yourself back in the house. Your status will update to IN.

โฐ Curfew

If your house has a curfew, you'll need to be signed back in before the curfew time. If you're not signed in by curfew, house management will be notified automatically.

Always sign back in as soon as you return โ€” even if it's before curfew โ€” so staff know you're home.

๐Ÿ“‹ Your Sign Log

House management can view a full history of your sign-outs and sign-ins. Make sure your destination is accurate each time you sign out.

Leaderboard screen

The Leaderboard shows how you and other residents are doing for the current week โ€” ranked by overall compliance.

  • Percentage (%) โ€” your overall progress for the week
  • Meetings bar โ€” how many meetings you've logged vs. required
  • Chores bar โ€” how many assigned chores you've completed

  • Residents are ranked from highest to lowest compliance
  • Top performers appear at the top of the list
  • Your entry is marked with a YOU label

  • Log your meetings consistently
  • Complete your assigned chores
  • Stay on top of things throughout the week โ€” don't wait until the last day
โš ๏ธ Important Note

The Leaderboard is meant to help you stay accountable and track your progress. Some houses may choose to disable this feature, so it may not always be visible in your app.

House Info calendar

The House Info tab keeps you informed about what's happening in your house โ€” events, announcements, and resources all in one place.

๐Ÿ“† Calendar

The calendar shows the current month and highlights important dates.

  • Today's date is highlighted
  • Dots under dates indicate scheduled events
  • Use the arrows to switch between months

Tap a date to view events scheduled for that day.

๐Ÿ“Œ Upcoming Events

Shows the next scheduled events in your house. Each event card includes:

  • Event name & date/time
  • Location
  • Event type (e.g. House Meeting, Appointment)
  • Important label (if marked by staff)
โญ Important Events

Some events are marked as Important โ€” prioritize these. They may include house meetings, required appointments, or court dates.

Announcements section
๐Ÿ“ข Announcements

This is where house management shares important updates with residents. Each announcement includes a title, message, and date.

๐Ÿ“Œ Pinned Announcements

Pinned announcements are especially important โ€” they also appear at the top of your Home screen so you can't miss them.

Announcements are read-only. Only house management can create or edit them. Expired announcements may be removed automatically.

Resources section
๐Ÿ“š Resources

Quick access to helpful tools and important house-related information. Resources appear as easy-to-tap cards and may include things like AA/NA meeting finders, house rules, chore instructions, and more.

Note: Available resources vary by house. Management can add or remove them at any time.

Account screen

The Account tab is where you can view your profile and manage your login information.

At the top of the page you'll see your name, username, and role (e.g. Resident). This information is set by house management.

๐Ÿ”’ Changing Your Password
  1. Enter your current password
  2. Enter your new password
  3. Confirm your new password
  4. Tap Update Password

  • Choose something secure and memorable
  • Your new password and confirmation must match
  • If your current password is incorrect, the update won't go through
